Dear Bev, I thoroughly enjoyed your article on footwear. I have long ago abandoned looks for comfort. Almost a year ago, I was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic, which has resulted in some life style changes. Since then, I have lost over 55 pounds including weight loss in my feet. Because of some neck problems, years ago my doctor told me not to do any exercise that requires stress on my neck. I also have neuropathy in my legs and feet, which occasionally results in severe cramps. So, proper footwear is a must for me. Your article was a great benefit and I will be sharing it with my three sisters who are overweight. One of them works in a shoe store in Brunswick, Maine, and is very knowledgeable about shoes. Christmas, my very favorite time of the year! I love buying gifts; I love receiving gifts, and I love giving gifts! Yes, I just love gifts! It is truly a gift for me just to walk into any store during this season and see the beauty of holiday decorations and hear the holiday music. It seems like the hearts of all around me are just a little sweeter. I was reading the evaluations from FOCUS Week and one really caught my attention.
