In 2005 I weighed 320 lbs.That finally got my attention. As an adult, I had always been in the low to mid-200’s, but very athletic. How this happened I still didn’t understand, but it did. So, using the “normal” diet approach, I got my weight down to 285 but then it stopped. I read an article in Prevention magazine about a lady (Abby) who has lost weight thru something called FP4H and so I checked it out. There was a class starting in a church near me, so I went. Over the next couple years I attended several classes and actually co-taught three. My story would never make the cover of a supermarket rag because it took me eight years to lose 80 lbs. But….the important part was I never gave up. If you actually follow the guidelines taught in FP4H, it won’t take nearly that long. I’m a guy—’nuff said! I recently completed my 1st Sprint Triathlon and have run two 1/2 Marathons. I’m 68 years young and haven’t been this healthy since I was in my 30’ed. My advise is “really” accept the directions given in the FP4H booklets and do it. When (and you will) you slip-up, just start over again and never accept anything other than the body God wants you to have.
