17oct8:00 pm9:00 pmOvercoming a Distorted Self Image in a Filtered Culture

Event Details

The dichotomy between social media and reality has fostered a comparing and competitive culture where distorted self-image and insecurities abound.

We can’t be hungry for the truth if we are full of lies. We can’t live in reality if we are always chasing ideal visions and striving for perfection.

Join Lisa on a journey to truth and freedom by discovering how to choose:

  • trust over control
  • connection over comparison
  • promises over feelings
  • faith over fear

Lisa transparently gives you a front-row seat to an extreme case of internalization of these issues gone awry as she vividly shares her own encouraging story of a challenging, decade-long battle with a severe eating disorder that almost cost her life. Now she is living a God redemptive story of over a decade and a half of strong, solid recovery. She invites you to discover, along with her, the joy in embracing who you were created to be. Do not lose your identity in this ultra-filtered culture. Instead, cultivate a God redemptive story of your own realization of perfect imperfections.
