Ken Hodgson

Ken discovered First Place For Health (FP4H) after years of struggling to lose weight on his own. After losing 35 pounds through a group in another church, he decided to bring the program to his own church. Ken maintains a 60-pound weight loss. Click here to read Ken’s Success Story.

Ken’s passion is for helping others place Christ first and including others in his wellness journey. Ken identified leaders within his own group and helped them branch out and start their own groups. He is committed to getting the word out about FP4H. Ken serves on the FP4H board. He is a husband, dad, and most recently a grandpa.

When he retired he took up Hiking. In January 2019 he completed his goal to climb the 48 mountains of New Hampshire in 52 weeks.  What a journey!

48 summits in 34 hikes
312 miles on the trail in 265 hours
20 miles of elevation gain
170 hours commuting 10,000 miles

“My son, do not lose sight of these-keep sound wisdom and discretion, and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck. Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.”         Proverbs 3:21-23

  1. wow, quite an accomplishment Ken, hiking all those mountains. I was living in Colorado a couple years and there was a guy at the school that hiked all of the 14,000 and above mountains in Colorado. I think there is around 50…. The group sounds great, I am waiting til last minute to see if my ministry on Monday nights resumes, otherwise I will join you. Thanks for the offer , I will decide shortly once I hear from the leadership of the ministry. Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild!!!! Tim
