Michelle Peters

Hey Y’all, I’m Michelle Peters the 2019 Summit Coordinator!

I have been a part of First Place for Health for almost 3 years and I currently teach classes at Houston’s First Baptist Church. During my first two sessions of First Place, under Carole Lewis’ leadership my passion for the program ignited. I currently maintain a 26-pound weight loss. I became a Networking Leader for Texas after attending Wellness Weeks and Summit ‘18. I love sharing what I’ve learned. I know God can use the good, the bad and the ugly of my life to reach others. I married my college sweetheart, Larry. We’ve been together for 35 years, raised 3 children, now married who all who live in Houston.

During the years raising kids and now being a grandmother, I ran my own interior decorating business for 18 years. Through my involvement with a Women’s Business Development organization I began to work at a Christian non-profit Counseling Center. I was responsible for fund-raising, marketing and event planning. I consider myself a professional volunteer as well as a lifelong dieter. Isn’t it just like God, to connect all these dots of my past and present? He led me to First Place where I could use my skills and find community. I truly believe it is possible for us to find our authentic self, be healed from past hurts, and reach our weight-loss and fitness goals. I know God wants us to achieve His peace in our wellness journey. It’s worth it!

God is worth it… Our health is worth it… You are worth it!
